Career History Originally from Four Marks, Alton, Hampshire, moving to Somerset in 2012 after a long and successful career in motorsport alongside his specialist car sales company Autorite Sport.

David served his apprenticeship with Webbers Jaguar, moving on to the family Peugeot dealership working as Service Reception Manager, later on becoming Used Car Sales Manager from this David managed to combine his job with racing on the short ovals, successfully competing in Superstox, Hot Rods & Super Rods, also a season in the Ford Fiesta Challenge.

In 1983 David formed his own company specialising in the sales of performance cars and in 1985 moved into circuit racing, in his first full season he was part of the winning team in the Willhire 24 Hour Race from which Ford Motor Company used the car in the television commercial, with a liking to endurance racing David has taken part in ten 24 Hour races with outright victory, twice overall runner-up, four class wins and a determination award.

Having a successfully raced in various saloon car championships with manufacturers, BMW, Ford, VW, Peugeot and Sports Cars. Winning Group N Saloon and Historic Sports Championships

 The 2006 season saw David entered in the Dunlop Track and Race Saloon Championship    Class A overall runner-up Campaigning in a Vauxhall Tigra Silhouette in Class A, competing against the likes of Audi TT, Ford Escort WRC and Focus V8’s to name but a few.

From 16 races David has: –
• Finished 16 races overall in the top five,
• 11 of the races in the top three overall,
• Having Qualified 6 of the eight rounds in the top three,

2005
For the 2005 season, David competed in the VSR Super Silhouette Championship in the  space framed 2.0lt Vauxhall Tigra, having missed the first five rounds due to the build of a new car. Out of 26 registered drivers in the class of the series, David in just 6 rounds finished:
  • 7th overall of the championship.
    Qualified at each round in the top eight.
  • Every round finishing in the top six overall including a 4th at Silverstone  and Snetterton with a 3rd at Brands Hatch.

In 2003 David raced a Peugeot 206 2.0Lt Hot Rod competing in nine rounds, taking an 8 th at Eastbourne, 7 th at Yarmouth , 6 th at Ipswich , 4 th at Bovingdon and qualified 8 th for the British Championship.

 Racing in the 2002 Legends Championship.

Legends Car 1200cc Yamaha (125bhp)        In the 2002 National Legends Championship with 30 registered competitors David acheived 9th place overall in championship and finished 6th overall in the INEX World Semi-Pro Points Series – 2nd out of uk entries.

  • Finishing 10 of 14 championship rounds in the top 12

 Racing in the Legends Championship with backing from DNA.
Legends Car 1200cc Yamaha (125bhp)        In the 2001 season, with grids of up to 30 competitors, David achieved:

  • Top 10 overall in the Championship
  • Taking runner up spot in the Rookie Honours
  • Inex World Semi-Pro Points Championship, finishing 14th out of 110 registered competitors. 4th out of UK entries
  • In the last seven rounds only failed to finish in the top ten once
  • Out of 45 races, finished in 43

 Raced in the Pickup Truck Championship achieving 20 top 10 places, 8 in the top 6 and 8 rounds in the top 8, on his way to 7th place overall in the championship.
